Bin him! Liverpool fans reaction to Champions League squad news

Liverpool are firm favourites to advance to a semi-final against Barcelona as they go into the match with a 2-0 lead from last week's meeting at Anfield, and having triumphed 5-0 at the same stadium in the same competition last February.

But after hearing opposite number Sergio Conceicao say they at times play as "the best team in the world", Klopp told his players it is far too soon to be patting themselves on the back yet.

"Adam is back in the travelling squad, we have to say". "We are here to go to the next round".

Porto suffered their heaviest home defeat in European competition against Liverpool in last season's Champions League, with the Reds winning 5-0 in a last 16 tie.

The Porto manager Sérgio Conceição's belief that his side can mount a comeback and overturn the 2-0 first-leg defeat was mixed with glowing praise for his opponents, who, according to Conceição, have moments when they are "the best team in the world".

"We can compare it a little bit to the City game a year ago when we were 3-0 up and everybody thought, "halfway through" or whatever". "Until we were 2-0 up it was a really open game".

"I believe we can have a good result to keep alive our dream in the Champions League".

However, Klopp also agreed that his players can, and do, show they're excellent at times. Porto are a good team.

"The first goal was really good play but Sadio (Mane) had harder shots that weren't in. We have to play at our limit, and try to come through somehow". "They always have a high intense game in the highest intense atmosphere".

Dejan Lovren didn't travel with the squad to Portugal, left out due to illness, and while Joe Gomez will be part of the 18-man team, Klopp suggested that he would not start as Liverpool manage his return from a broken leg in December with caution.

Speaking ahead of the quarter-final, Klopp said: "Joe is getting better and better and better, can he play 90 mins in Champions' League?"

It's not likely FC Porto will pull off an upset, but the Reds will still need to be careful considering there have already been two clubs to overcome a two-goal deficit in this year's Champions League Round of 16 (PSG vs. Manchester United and Juventus vs. Atletico Madrid).
