Microsoft’s Forza Street racing game launches for Android later in 2019

Update: The official announcement is up on Xbox Wire, and Microsoft confirmed that the iOS and Android versions of Forza Street are coming later this year.

While the game's mechanics are incredibly simple, it must be said that Forza Street's bite-sized gameplay is quite addictive, making it ideal for mobile play. Up until now, those games were available to play only on PC and Xbox platforms. I wouldn't go so far as to call this Forza in name only, but Forza Street isn't the standard experience fans know and love from Motorsport and Horizon. Controls focus on timing and players will need to make sure they hit their accelerator and brake pedals at just the right time. Hopefully, Forza Street will follow in the footsteps of its predecessors - Forza Motorsport and Forza Horizon, and provide an immersive vehicle racing experience.

Racing games enthusiasts would recognize Miami Street in the new Forza because it is rebranded under the Forza franchise, aimed to arrive at low-end devices.

According to Microsoft in Forza Street, players "can collect and assemble a legendary lineup of cars to compete in intense, cinematic races". After they win, they can get points to upgrade their existing cars with better parts or to get new and faster vehicles. Forza Street seems built for short, quick races that you can get through while waiting in line at the grocery store or riding public transit to work. With the game now available to play on Windows 10 devices, Beaudoin says the company will continue to add new features, actively engage in community feedback, and improve the gameplay as time passes on.
