Leafs look to go up 3-1 in playoff series against Bruins

Instead of using speed, the Maple Leafs exposed the Bruins with quickness.

One of the biggest concerns for the Boston Bruins through the first three games of Round 1 was David Pastrnak's lack of offensive contributions. The ads are appearing on OOH boards and in-store digital signage across the GTA, as well as on social media.

Zach Hyman had the other Leaf goal in a tightly called contest, with three ticky-tacky interference calls in the first period. The showing of hometown support is also being done in support of the Toronto Raptors, who are also in the midst of a playoff run.

The Leafs did their best to buck the curse - scoring two quick goals midway through the third period to get within a goal - but the comeback fell short and they lost 6-4 in Game 4 after the Bruins scored an empty netter in the dying seconds.

The Bruins got a power play five minutes into the third when Maple Leafs defenseman Nikita Zaitsev fired the puck over the glass for a delay-of-game penalty, but Toronto's penalty kill held firm against a man advantage that has connected in every game this series.

The first round of the 2019 Stanley Cup Playoffs has been shocking and, at times, extremely lopsided. "We can't stay on the outside and we have to find a way to create those chances". In their second loss of the series, a 3-2 setback in Game 3, it was more a death of thousand nicks and cuts.

Although they're not exactly dominating on the score sheet, the Tavares line is doing what not many lines before them have been able to do in slowing down arguably the league's top line. "They upped their compete level".

Chances are we won't know Cassidy's plans until the puck drops for Game 4, even if he does scramble things a bit in practice.

"I thought we had real good energy tonight", head coach Mike Babcock said after the 6-4 loss. It was a insane play, but you've got to hand it to the guy for putting everything on the line.

Kurzawa played in both games for PSG.

Dermott is another Leaf who was in the AHL last season. Boston received a gift of a power play early in the third when Zaitsev sent the puck into the stands for a delay of game, but they managed just one shot during the two minutes, and it wasn't even from the top unit. "You kind of get a little taste then, but I think this one's kind of been more about me getting back and me feeling good, and me trying to get back to my game as quickly as possible. Five-on-five right now, we have to find ways to create more", he added. "They're very good at finding those soft spots". "Because they are a fast team and we understand that".
