Madonna Details 'Madame X' Album, Shares

Madonna has also been confirmed to perform at this year's Eurovision Song Contest in Tel Aviv on May 18, where she will play two songs - quite possibly new ones, which may provide a hint about the album's arrival date.

Madonna has posted a lot of material on social media positioning the concept of her new album, Madame X, but until 'Medellin, ' the first single from the album, dropped today, there was precious little information about the album itself.

The accompanying music video for "Medellín" will premiere on MTV Presents Madonna Live & Exclusive: "Medellín" Video World Premiere via MTV on Friday, 25 April, 4am (SG/MY/PH). It also includes collaborations with several artists such as Quavo, Swae Lee and Anitta, and producers such as Mirwais, Diplo, Mike Dean, among others.

In a short clip, Madonna explained her new era of music: "I made a decision to call my record Madame X... a secret agent traveling around the world, changing identity, fighting for freedom, and bringing light to dark places". Pacific time, with Madonna taking questions from fans in London and New York City.

'I found my tribe there and a magical world of incredible musicians that reinforced my belief that music across the world is truly all connected and is the soul of the universe'.

The pop-icon released a 60-second teaser video on YouTube showcasing her alter ego Madame X, who serves as the inspiration behind the title of her album.
