Realme X Lite debuts with SD710 SoC and a notch display

Realme is already the fastest growing smartphone brand in India. Soon after the launch of the device, the company entered the Chinese market. The first is a Realme X Lite, which is a rebranded version of the existing Realme 3 Pro that was launched in India. Realme has achieved this by tucking the selfie camera into a motorized pop-up mechanism behind the display.

In addition, the Realme C2 serves as an entry-level smartphone with a MediaTek Helio P22 chipset, a memory capacity of 2GB + 16GB and 3GB + 32GB, 6.1-inch display, 5MP front camera, 13MP + 2MP dual rear camera, 4000mAh battery and ColorOS Lite out of the box. The device sports 6.53-inch AMOLED display with Full HD+ (2340 x 1080 pixels) resolution and 19.5:9 aspect ratio.

The smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 AIE mobile platform that has an octa-core processor clocked at 2.2GHz.

Price-wise, the Realme X with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage goes for CNY 1,499 (~RM 911) while the 6GB/64GB and 8GB/128GB variants are priced at CNY 1,599 (~RM 972) and CNY 1,799 (~RM 1,093) respectively.

The smartphone will have upto 128GB of internal storage with support for additional storage up to 256GB. The Realme X gets a 48 MP Sony IMX586 primary camera sensor and a 5 MP depth sensor, a setup we first saw on the Redmi Note 7 Pro (review) and more recently, the OnePlus 7. Further, the camera also supports 4K recording and slo-mo video at 960fps. For selfies, there is a 16MP pop-up camera on the top with f/2.0 aperture and Sapphire glass protection.

Realme X is also the first Realme smartphone to come with an optical in-display fingerprint sensor embedded in the display.

Equipped with a 3,765mAh battery, the Realme X also supports VOOC 3.0 fast charging technology.

Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and a USB Type-C Port.

Realme made its debut in China with two new smartphones - Realme X and Realme X Lite. It will be available only in 8GB+128GB storage variant and is priced CNY 1899.

Oddly enough there will be a couple of special editions dedicated to cooking with onion and garlic.
