Pokemon Rumble Rush announced for Android and iOS

Pokemon Rumble Rush announced for Android and iOS

Nintendo announced the game back in 2017 under the name Pokeland, but until now it had disappeared. A close alpha launched with that announcement, but after that, The Pokemon Company went radio silent on the game. The basics of the game will be familiar if you've ever played a Pokemon Rumble since the sub-series started on Wii in 2009: collect and upgrade clockwork Pokemon toys to run through a stage and fight a bunch of other Pokemon toys.

Though official details about its Western launch have yet to be revealed, it's already available on the Australian Google Play store. There are two different types of gears: Summon gears, which allow your Pokemon to call other Pokemon into battle for an assist, and power gears, which boost the stats of Pokemon and make them stronger.

As expected, Nintendo is bringing another Pokemon game to Android and iOS devices.

The game was unveiled in Japan this morning as Pokemon Scramble SP, but it's going to be known as Pokemon Rumble Rush in the West.

Once you open the app, you'll have the option of linking it to your Nintendo account.

Once you catch a Pokemon, you can use them in battle. And that's very important since you'll need a very powerful party of Pokemon to take on the islands' Super Bosses.

Get on out there and catch 'em all!
