Skull & Bones has been delayed and won't be present at E3 2019

"We believe in our vision for the game, while also making sure the voice of our community is being heard", Ubisoft tweeted. Ironically, we haven't heard much about this game since last year's E3, therefore it was nearly a given that the game had - unofficially - been delayed. The news came from an earning's call, before the game's producer, Karl Luhe, confirmed the report in a video message from the game's official Twitter (via Gematsu).

Ubisoft has just posted a brief update about Skull & Bones' progress. Now, it will release in the 2020/2021 fiscal year. Skull and Bones will be released sometime after April 2020, then. One of those is Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Breakpoint, which will be released on October 4th.

Since all three are slated for Q4, each will be released before the quarter ends on March 31, 2020. And with the company indefinitely delaying the game's release - it no longer has a release window - it seems nearly certain that we'll see a very different Skull & Bones when it next appears.

In terms of the company's successes, March 2019 was a record month for "overall audience, activity, and play time" across consoles and PC platforms. The game had a great launch, and hit records for digital distribution, player engagement and season pass adoption within the company. More information at E3 and gamescom this year seems likely.
