Breath of the Wild sequel revealed by Nintendo in E3 2019 surprise

The new game was revealed via the company's E3 Direct presentation, Kotaku reports. Introduced by newly installed Nintendo of America executive Doug Bowser - no, not that Bowser - it was light on surprises, but the highlights were a new Animal Crossing game, New Horizons, and a teaser for the sequel to the phenomenally accomplished The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. There's no name or timeframe for the game's development or release, but it's in the works!

The teaser trailer showed Link traveling with Zelda herself on horseback. It was announced on the heels of new Link's Awakening footage and news about Super Smash Bros. additions.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild was originally released in 2017 on the Nintendo Switch and the Wii U. The open world action-adventure game follows Link, who wakes up alone in a world he no longer remembers after a 100-year slumber and no memories.

The Hyrule from Breath of the Wild was shown, but it appears to be getting torn apart by this revived skeleton and the mysterious mist oozing around him.

However, it also said its highly anticipated Animal Crossing game had been delayed until March 2020. The first one is The Hero from Dragon Quest.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons on Nintendo Switch. Panzer Dragon which is a remake of Sega's classic on-rail shooter, releases this Winter. As you can see, the game will maintain the original's cartoonish vibe-a stark contrast to Breath of the Wild's lifelike aura-but with Switch-appropriate graphics.
