Google Maps' new feature is now said to be available only in India only and was first spotted by the folks at XDA-Developers. There could be many reasons for the driver to take an alternate route like congestion on the recommended road, construction work on the road or a shortcut that the driver is aware of.

Google has been focusing on improving Google Maps, especially in India. It's already been around on Google Maps, helping people get where they're going, and now, it'll head to Waze.

Google Maps is also gaining the ability to show autorickshaws in its mixed-mode commute suggestions, with an interface which will also display the estimated auto fare.

Now, In a recent blog post, Google reports Google Assistant is now available in Waze.

One of the first things you learn in driving class is to keep your eyes on the road and your hands on the wheel. If Google Assistant in Waze isn't working for you yet, it should in the coming days.

Android Phones supporting Google Assistant will be able to use Google Assistant on their Waze app with an update starting from today. You can now control the Waze app directly via your voice commands.

Still Waze is somehow cooler than Google Maps because it has more hand stitched reporting.

Google announced on Monday that it will start rolling out Google Assistant integration on Waze. The company is now testing a safety feature that lets users know if their cab has gone off-route, reported XDA Developers.
