Hazard-Real Madrid the perfect fit - Martinez

Hazard-Real Madrid the perfect fit - Martinez

A player that has been through clubs and he can always come back and be greeted as a hero.

Before that Hazard will be hoping to lead his national team to victory in the Euro 2020 qualifiers as they welcome Scotland to the King Baudouin Stadium in Brussels on Tuesday night.

He becomes Real Madrid's second major signing after Eintracht Frankfurt's Luka Jovic, in a summer of rebuilding in Zidane's second spell as manager.

Real Madrid finished third in La Liga this past season, finishing behind both Barcelona and Atletico Madrid as the club struggled to truly replace Cristiano Ronaldo following the Portuguese star's move to Juventus.

Real Madrid will now finally announce the completed deal for Hazard on Thursday when the transfer window actually opens up as will join Zinedine Zidane's outfit for the next campaign.

Hazard contributed to 31 goals in the league last season, scoring 21 in all competitions for Chelsea - his best ever tally at the club. The focus was about winning and his performance was no different than what you've seen in the last three years.

But the Wales global will not be forced out and has so far shown no interest in the handful of clubs that have shown interest.

Asked what he thinks about Real's new acquisition, Ramos did not skip a beat as he insisted Hazard joining the Spanish giants is good news.

Hazard though would do well to match Bale's record in Madrid as he looks to add to the trophies he won at Chelsea, which included two Premier League and two Europa League titles, as well as one FA Cup and one League Cup.

He was named in the PFA Premier League team of the year four times, in 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2017. After reaching the semi-finals in 2014, Chelsea have not gone past the last 16 in the last five seasons.
