Jessica Biel: ‘I am Not Against Vaccinations’

While Biel included the hashtag for SB-277 - a 2015 bill which removed personal belief exemptions for vaccinations - it was SB-276 that she actually went to the Capitol to address this week.

Biel and Kennedy Jr. joined forces to lobby against SB 276, a California state bill that would limit medical exemptions from vaccinations without approval from a state public health officer.

She continued, "That's why I spoke to legislators and argued against this bill". Not because I don't believe in vaccinations, but because I believe in giving doctors and the families they treat the ability to decide what's best for their patients and the ability to provide that treatment.

The bill, introduced by State Senator Richard Pan, proposes that by 2021, licensed physicians and surgeons statewide must use a standardized medical exemption request form, and that this form becomes the only one accepted by the state government.

"She's upset about this issue because of its particular cruelty", Kennedy told the Daily Beast. She said she worries about people such as her friends, whose child has a medical condition that requires exemption from vaccinations.

Biel has since responded to the reports directly, noting that she is "not against vaccinations" but also supports "families having the right to make educated medical decisions for their children alongside their physicians".

Jessica Biel reveals she regrets something from her past.

In another photo, Kennedy and Biel posed with Democratic Assembly member Autumn Burke, with Biel commenting: "Great meeting with both of you today".

Jessica Clair Biel, born March 3, 1982, in Ely, Minnesota frequently moved with her family as a child before they settled down in Boulder, Colorado.

Miz Biel concluded her post with a call to action, asking everyone to do their research on SB277 and continue the conversation about it.

While Jessica has never publicly spoken about her stance on vaccinations, it was reported back in November 2015 that she and husband Justin Timberlake had decided not vaccinate their son Silas, now four. This is especially the case thanks to Robert F. Kennedy Jr., a known anti-vaxxer and activist against what he and his followers see as governmental interference in citizens' private medical lives.

Kennedy also said that Biel has had friends leave the state because they have been "vaccine-injured".
