Lukaku admits his Man United future is uncertain

Corriere dello Sport says United are prepared to sell the Belgium global for €75m. I'll speak with my club and my agent to make the best decision.

His pursuit for first-team football is now said to have forced him out of Old Trafford, with Italian media outlet, Gazzette dello Sport, reporting the Belgian has already held talks with Inter and agreed to join them this summer.

Speaking after the match, the 26-year-old hinted he has already told Manchester United where he wants to play football next season.

Lukaku has never entirely won over United supporters, but he remains a proven goalscorer and netted twice in Belgium's 3-0 win over Scotland on Tuesday to take his tally to 25 goals in his past 21 worldwide appearances.

Lukaku struggled to impress under Jose Mourinho's leadership at the start of last season and continued to underwhelm when Ole Gunnar Solskjaer replaced the sacked Portuguese in December.

"I am a big fan of Serie A, who knows me is aware that I wanted to play in the Premier League and that I also want to play in Serie A".

'I have a contract and I have to respect my club.

It is obvious that his reputation has taken a hit in the Premier League and his confidence, at club level, is pretty much at an all-time low.

'I am going to enjoy my holidays with my family now.

United will pay an initial £15 million rising to £18 million for James, who has signed a five-year contract until June 2024, with the option of another 12 months.

Robertson will likely get a slightly extended break, so perhaps we won't see him in action in the pre-season friendlies before the Reds head over to the United States of America, but to suggest he will miss the start of the new season is massively overstating this injury.
