Cuba Gooding Jr. to Surrender After Woman Alleges Groping

Gooding Jr. has maintained that he's innocent and claimed there is video evidence to prove it. Cuba will be facing charges for the alleged incident that took place over the weekend at Magic Hour Rooftop Bar & Lounge in NY.

The woman told police the two got into an argument and she left the club and called 911.

Cuba Gooding expected to surrender to NY police sometime in the next few hours for questioning in an alleged groping incident, several media outlets report. The woman claims Gooding was "highly intoxicated" at the time of the alleged incident which, according to her report, took place around 9 p.m.

He will reportedly surrender today (13 June) to the NYPD (New York City Police Department) special victims unit (which is heading the case) before he goes to court for trial.

Speaking to reporters, Heller said the woman who made the allegation is seen on the video following Gooding around, and at one point, she was asked to leave him alone. Gooding was involved in another bar-related incident in New Orleans in 2012. There's a tape that shows what really happened. "I believe in the system and let the process speak for itself".

A social media video shows the actor singing and interacting with fans earlier in the evening prior to the alleged incident.

Gooding best known for his role in Jerry Maguire, for which he won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor in 1997. He also starred as O.J. Simpson in "The People v. OJ Simpson" TV series in 2016, and recently completed filming a new movie "Life in a Year" along with Jaden Smith and Nia Long.
