The winners from the MTV Movie and TV Awards

The winners from the MTV Movie and TV Awards

At the latest MTV Movie and TV Awards, Larson took home the golden popcorn for "Best Fight", but instead of merely walking onstage and tossing out some simple thank yous, she used the opportunity to bring two important women up there with her: Joanna Bennett and Renae Moneymaker, her two stunt doubles in the film.

"It's one thing to be the main event of WrestleMania, and it's something that you dream of...and then to be recognized at the MTV TV & Movie Awards is just, again, unthinkable". Levi urged viewers to nurture the kid in themselves and follow their dreams into adulthood. Lizzo and Bazzi kept the crowd on its feet during their lively musical performances of Juice and Paradise, respectively. "Love who you want to love, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise". She also worked as Amber Heard's stunt double in Aquaman, and her credits include Agent Carter and Captain America: Civil War, to name a few.

During his speech for Best Comedic Performance Dan Levy said, "I'm Canadian, this is overwhelming for me".

"RBG" had some tough competition in the "best real-life hero" category - including Serena Williams, who was profiled in her own HBO docuseries, "Being Serena". The show features gender-neutral categories.

Actor, producer and wrestler Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson was given the Generation award for a career that encompasses more than 30 film and TV shows, including the "Fast and Furious" movie franchise.

"I could not have made this film without them", Larson said. She's still going strong and sticking up for what's right for her, and we couldn't applaud that enough.

Sandra Bullock accepts the most frightened performance award for Bird Box.

"Surviving R. Kelly", in which seven women spoke on camera about what they said was years of sexual and emotional abuse by the "I Believe I Can Fly" singer, won best documentary.

"I'm sure he will notice that they are women, just like his mama", she said.
