Disney Star Cameron Boyce's Family Reveals He Suffered From Epilepsy

The news that actor Cameron Boyce died at the age of 20 stumped the entire industry. A representative from the Boyce family confirmed Cameron's passing, citing an "ongoing medical condition" as the cause of a seizure that claimed his life while he was asleep.

"In the early afternoon of July 6, Cameron Mica Boyce (DOB: 05/28/99) was found unresponsive in his home located in the 5100 block of Cartwright Avenue in North Hollywood", the Coroner's office also told Access.

So sad... Our thoughts continue to be with all of those friends, family, and loved ones (and fans!) affected by Boyce's sudden, untimely passing. She thanked him for being the "best big brother" she never had. According to his family, this was due to an "ongoing medical condition".

A family spokesperson added in the statement: "We are utterly heartbroken and ask for privacy during this immensely hard time as we grieve the loss of our precious son and brother".


Cameron's most iconic role amongst Disney Fans comes from his time as Carlos, the son of Cruella de Vil, in the popular Disney Channel Original Movie Series, Disney's Descendant's.

Salma Hayek played Cameron's mum in 2010's Grown Ups and its sequel three years later, and she said "his joy will live in our hearts forever". "My heart will be forever broken", Jackson, 17, penned.
