Jurgen Klopp gives Liverpool transfer update after Tranmere win

"Rhian Brewster, [Alex] Oxlade-Chamberlain [who] didn't play a year ago, all the young boys". He has scored 28 goals in 98 matches with the club.

Last season Origi earned himself cult-hero status with a stoppage-time derby victor against Everton before scoring twice in the 4-0 Champions League semi-final second leg success over Barcelona and then again in the final victory over Tottenham in Madrid.

"He played a really good game and I saw other good performances - Harry (Wilson) and Ryan (Kent) in the first half and then in the second half incredibly strong".

Divock Origi, the man whose goal secured Liverpool their sixth European Cup, has committed his future to the club by signing a new long-term contract.

Liverpool signed 17-year-old defender Sepp van den Berg from Dutch top division side PEC Zwolle last month while Danny Ings, Daniel Sturridge and Alberto Moreno have left the club. But why should I play it down? Again, it depends on him and we will see.

"100 per cent [it is a big season] but it depends on [Brewster] as well", Klopp said.

"The transfer market is open until Aug 8 ... we will see what we do but I don't think it will be the biggest transfer window of all time", Klopp added.

Glatzel was part of the Liverpool team that took to the field for the second half of the Reds' pre-season friendly on Thursday evening but he had to be taken off shortly after assisting Bobby Duncan's goal.

There was an opportunity for him to leave Liverpool last January, when Wolves enquired about him, but Origi made the decision to stay and fight to show that he could make a difference and that was handsomely vindicated against Tottenham.

"They should be happy and get confidence from it, but it is not like we are running around saying we are Champions league winners 24-hours a day", said Klopp.

If Hoever continues to impress in pre-season we could well see Clyne sold in the last week or so of the transfer window.
