The newest MacBook Air has a gorgeous 13.3-inch retina display and features Touch ID, while weighing in at just 2.75 pounds.

The all-new Apple MacBook Air was refreshed late a year ago with this hugely popular machine getting a stunning new look and much sharper Retina display.

Based on eight Geekbench results, the 2019 MacBook Pro scored 4,639 in single-core and 16,665 in multi-core specifically.

It's worth noting that the 2019 MacBook Pro benchmarks are based on the average of eight Geekbench results thus far.

The 2019 base MacBook Pro averages a single-core score and a multi-core score of 4,341 and 9,084, respectively. The 15W chip is part of the Coffee Lake family and has a max Turbo Boost frequency of up to 3.9GHz.

The notebook can also be upgraded to a 1.7GHz Core i7 chipset for an additional $300.

In Australia, pricing for the new Apple MacBook Air starts at AU$1,699 or AU$1,549 for university students. As far as how powerful that upgrade is, there now only appears to be one Geekbench test of the processor.

This leads iFixit to speculate about whether this chipping away at the cooling solution on the laptop is really a wise idea (given that these ultra-thin portables can potentially struggle more on the heat management front, given the power packed into a very slight frame).

It should be noted that the more affordable variants of the 13-inch Pro laptops use the same chassis as other notebooks in the series, which means the thickness and weight are the same: 1.49 cm and 1.37 kg. Benchmarks results show an 83% increase in speed, but performance-wise, it could be different in real-world usage. If you're looking to buy, you can find these new MacBooks over at Apple's website. United States college students get a special price starting at $1,200.
