Hrithik Roshan Super 30 collection reached to 12 Crore on opening day

There is a slight raise in collections on day 1, which should help it fare better over the weekend. As of now, the film is at Rs 30.02 crore.

Hrithik Roshan starrer Super 30 seems to have impressed B-town celebrities and several film critics.

Keeping all these factors in mind, Super 30 has still managed to take a decent start with ₹ 11.75 crore coming in on the debut date. Biz picked up at metros/urban centres [Mumbai and South specifically] towards evening. He wrote, "Super 30 is a film that showcases the life of struggle with all its reality". The fact that the film worked in the metropolis, and especially in Mumbai and suburbs, but remained tiresome in most of the mass pockets is disappointing. Should witness growth on Day 2 and 3.

His previous film Kaabil was a flop at the box office and Super 30 also is staring at failure going by the initial buzz. Sustaining and proving its mettle on weekdays crucial.

Given that it is set in a small town, trade website Box Office India said it is surprising that Super 30 has not brought in decent numbers even from Hindi-speaking states like Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and those in central India. The total collection of Super 30 reaches to around 30 crores and if the film does same in its third day, then no doubt it may cross 50 crores mark in the opening weekend only.

Directed by Vikas Bahl, the film also stars Mrunal Thakur as the female lead besides Aditya Shrivastava and Pankaj Tripathi in pivotal roles.
