A$AP Rocky Finds New Support From Congressional Black Caucus

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have lobbied the White House in hopes of getting A$AP Rocky released from a Swedish prison where he is being detained for assault after a street fight, Page Six can confirm.

Swedish authorities are expected to announce today whether they will charge the rapper with assault or appeal to keep him in custody pending further investigation.

Rocky is now detained in Sweden for suspected "gross assault".

After the reality star - who is married to rapper Kanye West - reached out to Kushner, the top White House adviser informed his father-in-law Trump, who "told Kushner he believed ASAP was being held unfairly, and wanted to help", entertainment outlet TMZ said.

Sources told TMZ Kardashian filled Kushner in on ASAP Rocky's situation, and he went directly to the president. According to news reports, Kardashian and Kushner spoke earlier this month after which Kushner alerted the president to A$AP Rocky's arrest.

Kim Kardashian took to Twitter to publicly thank Donald Trump and others for working to free A$AP Rocky.

Some pressure is now coming from members of Congress to gain freedom for imprisoned rapper A$AP Rocky, who is currently being held in Sweden.

"We are calling on Secretary Pompeo to do more", Espaillat said.

Though he has yet to be officially charged with a crime, A$AP Rocky has been incarcerated in a Swedish jail cell since the beginning of July.

Some in the Congressional Black Caucus don't think Pompeo is doing enough. Last week, Snoop Dogg asked Kim to help with Rocky's case.
