Olive Garden pasta pass: Here's how you can get pasta for life

The nontransferable pass entitles the bearer to unlimited servings of pasta, breadsticks and salad at any of Olive Garden's 866 branches.

Only 50 lifetime passes are available, and they will be available to the first ones who opted-in for the upgraded pass.

Olive Garden promised something "bigger" for 2019's sixth annual Never Ending Pasta Pass promotion.

Additionally, 50 customers will be chosen for the chance to buy Lifetime Pasta Passes. In 2017, all 22,000 Pasta Passes also sold out in one second.

People are encouraged to join the waiting room for the sale online at 1:55 p.m.

24,000 Never Ending Pasta Passes will be available for purchase for $100 at PastaPass.com beginning Thursday, August 15 at 2 p.m. ET.

The beloved chain known for its salad and breadsticks and massive portions is introducing a lifetime pasta pass, according to the company's website. These passes are good for nine weeks of unlimited pastas, sauces, and toppings from the chain's Never Ending Pasta Bowl menu, complete with unlimited soup or salad and breadsticks. Olive Garden sold out of 23,000 Never Ending Pasta Passes within minutes previous year. You can take part in the Never Ending Pasta Bowl promotion on a nightly basis instead, with the unlimited perks starting at $10.99.

Olive Garden claimed that, if one were to purchase the $500 Lifetime Pasta Pass and somehow consume a bowl of pasta per day for 60 years, each bowl would cost less than three cents apiece. One Business Insider writer said he got canker sores after eating there 20 out of the first 25 days, and halfway through the seven-week period Syracuse radio personality Josh Grosvent vowed, "No more Olive Garden".
