See How Thousands Of Fans Besieged The Hospital Where DJ Arafat Died

According to several reports from Abijan, DJ Arafat's motorcycle crashed on a auto in the Ivorian capital city. Initially, reports suggested that he was critically injured, he was taken to an Abidjan hospital, but he died later.

Hundreds of fans gathered on Monday, weeping and chanting "Arafat can not die" outside the hospital in Abidjan's Cocody suburb where the singer died, AFP reporters at the scene said.

DJ Arafat, real name Ange Didier Huon, was born in Adidjan in 1986 and released 11 albums during his career, which mainly focused on the "coupe-decale" form of dance music, which puts together quickfire percussion, choppy rhythms and hip hop-influenced vocals.
