Severe Weather Alert Day issued for strong to severe storms Tuesday

Severe Weather Alert Day issued for strong to severe storms Tuesday

A warm and humid day is ahead for the Cleveland and Akron areas on Monday, with showers and thunderstorms moving in by the evening.

STORMS TOMORROW, COULD BE SEVERE: Storms will develop Tuesday, and there is a larger-than-normal risk of them becoming severe.

A year after a summer storm flooded roads, collapsed roofs on the North Shore, derailed a train, and stranded cars throughout Greater Boston, the weekend's pleasant weather is expected to extend into the workweek. Highs will be in the mid-to-upper 80s.

West Michigan will have more clouds than sunshine on Sunday with the chance to see an isolated shower or possible storm primarily in the afternoon and evening hours.

There is also a flash flood threat for the area, with torrential rainfall likely at times.

The National Weather Service isn't likely to post any weather watches until after the morning round of storms.

We certainly feel it will get rather noisy here for a few hours and we bracket the hours of 11 p.m.to 6 a.m. with storms at their height here between 2 a.m.to 4 a.m.

There's a chance for more showers through around 8 a.m. Wednesday.

Thursday will be partly sunny with a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms and a high of 83 and a low of 64.
