Stepdad never molested me: Shweta Tiwari's daughter clarifies

The news of Shweta Tiwari having filed a domestic violence case against husband Abhinav Kohli has sent shockwaves across the nation. Further to that Kohli has also been accused of being drunk all the time and using violence against his wife and stepdaughter whom he allegedly slapped on Sunday which forced them to go to the police. The report also claims that Abhinav was called to the police station and the family was there for nearly four hours.

The accused used to beat up and abuse the woman and also threaten her and her mother of dire consequences, he said. Now, Palak has taken to her Instagram handle to share a detailed narration of what exactly transpired. Palak is Shweta's daughter from her first husband Raja Chaudhary, a small-time actor, whom she divorced in 2007 after nine years of marriage. The Kasautii Zindagii Kayy actress is going through a rough patch in her second marriage.

She further said that numerous people reading the news, fortunately, have not dealt with domestic abuse. She also went on to add that her stepfather Abhinav Kohli never "molested or touched her inappropriately" but said he did pass some inappropriate and disturbing remarks on her.

She wrote, "Firstly, I would like to thank everyone who's reached out to express their concern and support. It's very disturbing for me as a father". Before spreading something of this calibre or even believing it, it's imperative you as readers know the veracity of the facts that you're blindly divulging endlessly. On Sunday, she reached Samta Nagar police station in Kandivali to file a complaint against her husband. Abhinav Kohli has never physically molested me, or touched me inappropriately.

TV actress Shweta Tiwari and Abhinav Kohli are experiencing serious trouble in their paradise. Words which would question the standing dignity of any woman, which you wouldn't expect to hear from any man, especially not your "father".

Raja Chaudhary got to know about the entire matter through news. Seeing our lives through social media, reading about us in the papers can only tell you so much about our struggles, but never enough to comment on them. I have been in touch with my daughter and checked on her this morning.
