All the New Nokia Phones HMD Announced at IFA 2019

HMD Global has previously attempted to capitalize on the "unbreakable Nokia phone" of meme-level repute. These were alongside three new feature phones and wireless earbuds.

The new phones are updated versions of the Nokia 7.2 and 6.2, both of which are arriving at the end of September and sometime in October respectively. The rear cameras are also placed in a circular form similar to what we've seen on the Nokia 9 Pureview. Along with smartphones, the company also launched Power Buds 30 at a price of € 109. All-in-all, Nokia 6.2 seems like a natural upgrade to 6.1 in terms of looks. Additionally, the feature allows you to use the 7.2 as a digital photo frame while it's on the charger. It is powered by Snapdragon 660 processor and comes with a 3,500 mAh battery.

The Nokia 7.2 is the more powerful version of the two, and it'll be more expensive when it launches this fall. At the front, you get a 20MP Quad Pixel sensor with f/2 aperture. We also have some hope from AI-based Night Mode and improved portrait shots as there's a dedicated depth sensor now.

There's another clear advantage in the battery department for the Nokia 7.2, which has a 3,500mAh capacity compared to the 3,060mAh in the Nokia 7.1.

The feature phone is loaded with Google Assistant and it supports other apps like Facebook, WhatsApp.

The Nokia 2720 flip phone has two screens you'll be able to see who's calling on the 1.3-inch external display (it'll also show various notifications), and you can answer simply by opening the phone. The smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor along with up to 4GB of RAM and up to 64GB of internal storage. Nokia 6.2 comes with three storage variants of 32GB, 64GB and 128GB. On the camera front, the smartphone comes with a 20 MP camera for selfies while at the back, there is a triple camera setup that has a 48 MP Samsung ISOCELL primary sensor and an 8 MP ultra-wide sensor along with a 5 MP depth sensor. There's an 8MP front camera with f/2 aperture. Both the smartphone have OTG options and get USB Type-C ports. On the software front, Nokia 6.2 runs on Android Pie out-of-the-box.

The folks licensing the Nokia brand know they're working with a brand with a legendary nigh-indestructible phone called Nokia 3310, aka "The Brick". It can withstand drops and extreme temperatures. (That means it might actually be a pretty decent option for a spare phone when traveling overseas.) The Nokia 2720 will be available in black or gray later in September for about UGX 370k (89 euros) before taxes, although HMD has yet to announce the countries where it'll be available.

"Bringing connectivity to first time feature phone users, the Nokia 110 comes packed with entertainment on the go".

The Nokia 2720 Flip is a 4G enabled feature phone with a 2.8-inch color display and access to to Google Assistant, Google Maps, YouTube, Facebook and WhatsApp. It can run these apps thanks to its KaiOS.

HMD Global's latest Nokia feature phones come in two peppy colours of blue and pink, and black as well. For that, you get all the basics: a phone, an MP3 player and, of course, Snake.

This phone has dual-SIM card capabilities and is capable of connecting via GSM bands to 4G LTE data. It packs 4MB of ROM and RAM. You can now side-load music onto a microSD card (up to 32GB), and it has a basic camera and a built-in radio. There's also a removable 800mAh battery on the feature phone.
