"Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare received five patients from the incident, not six as initially reported", the hospital said in a statement.

Tallahassee police spokesman Officer Damon Miller would not say Wednesday morning what the motive or what weapon was used, nor what connection the suspect had to the business.

Marquitta Campbell's husband Bobby Riggins Jr. arrived for a job interview at Dyke Industries about 8:30 a.m.

Brown had no known issues at the company, authorities said. Police claim he clocked in at 8 a.m. local time.

Outlaw said the employees were "heroic" at a Wednesday afternoon press conference.

While the suspect apparently sought out his victims, there was no evidence that the attack was premeditated, Outlaw said.

Outlaw also says Brown had been working at Dyke Industries for about three and a half months. He added that he was at a 9/11 ceremony when he was informed of the stabbing.

"You can't help but wonder, on the first flush when you hear that, is this related to the anniversary?" Brown was captured about a block away from the scene.

A hospital spokesperson says one victim is in serious condition, two are in fair condition and two others are in good condition.

It provides residential and commercial building materials including interior and exterior doors, millwork, and windows.
