IPhone SE 2 coming next year, but will the price be right?

The report quotes reliable Apple analyst Ming Chi-Kuo, who has said that the newer iPhone will be more affordable than the current models: iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max.

In the last couple of weeks, the majority of analysts claimed demand for the iPhone 11 lineup was indeed strong, especially in markets like China and India where the more affordable iPhone 11 version was getting the lion's share in terms of sales.

An old report by Nikkei also hinted that Apple might launch a cheaper version of the iPhone 8 and as per this recent prediction by Kuo, it seems like the company is going to unveil this device soon. It'll be a sibling to the iPhone 11, but in an iPhone 8 form factor.

The Deep Fusion image processing will help the iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro to capture photos in medium to low-light situations with more details.

Apple continues to sell the iPhone 8, starting at $449, so where to place the iPhone SE 2 is a little hazy.

According to a report by 9to5Mac, Kuo has also confirmed that this upcoming iPhone will be a cheaper iPhone and is likely to offer up to 3 GB RAM. The news of a successor to iPhone SE (which was launched in 2015) has been doing the rounds for sometime now. Another reason why the iPhone SE sold in insane numbers was its affordable price tag.

Right now, Apple hasn't announced a release date for the AirPods 2, but they could come as soon as this month - the company hasn't yet confirmed whether it will hold an October event, but it did past year. The iPhone 8 has the same screen size as the 7 and the 6 at 4.7in, so this wouldn't be as small as the 4in original iPhone SE. This not only leaves them out of the newest features, but more importantly to Apple, means that they can't subscribe to Apple Arcade or Apple TV+.
