Man Utd urged to sign Juventus outcast

Manchester United will reportedly offer Juventus a fee of £9m to sign Mario Mandzukic in the January transfer window.

Two-time Premier League victor Dimitar Berbatov believes signing Mandzukic could greatly benefit Ole Gunnar Solskjaer this season.

Manchester United have only picked up one win within 90 minutes outside of the Premier League too, following a draw with AZ Alkmaar in the Europa League as well as their penalty shootout win over Rochdale in the Carabao Cup.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been dealing with a lengthy injury list throughout the season but the newspaper says Paul Pogba, Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Luke Shaw and Anthony Martial are all set to return to the United squad this weekend.

The Norwegian had promised the club faithful of a few new faces in the Winter, especially in the attacking department.

Pogba is now undergoing warm weather rehabilitation as he looks to speed up his recovery, but The Daily Mail claim that the World Cup victor is still "almost certain" to miss Manchester United's derby against Liverpool.

Mandzukic has enjoyed four fruitful years at Juventus since arriving from Atletico Madrid in 2015.

Mandzukic, whose contract runs until 2021, has fallen out of favour under Maurizio Sarri at Juventus.

Should a deal pull through, Mario will be expected to lead the lines, and ease the pressure off Marcus Rashford, - who has found it hard to find the back of the net, since Romelu Lukaku's exit in the summer.

Manchester United defender Victor Lindelof insists there's "probably no danger" for manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer despite rumours he could be sacked.
