Cris Carter exits FOX Sports

Now it appears he'll never be back, as according to a statement from Fox Sports Carter is no longer with the company.

From there, Carter was able to move on to FOX Sports where has hosted the morning show First Things First on FS1 for two years.

Carter has not appeared on "First Things First" since October 30 - former National Football League player Chris Canty replaced him - and on Sunday, The Big Lead reported that Fox Sports had suspended him.

Cris Carter hasn't been on the air at FS1 since last week, with reports surfacing that he was suspended from First Things First hosting duties pending a further investigation.

However, Front Office Sports reports that the trouble between Carter and network executives started after a "blow-up" between the two.

It'll also be interesting to see what comes out in terms of what led to the split between him and FOX Sports.

Carter, Wright, and Wolfe shoot their weekday morning present on the web site of Fox's Thursday Evening time Soccer current in midtown Manhattan.

The New York Post's Andrew Marchand disputes that being the only reason.

Carter, who is based in NY, was reportedly upset that he wasn't part of the network's Thursday night National Football League coverage, which airs from Manhattan.

He may have been upset about not having a role on TNF, but sources said the matter at hand is more serious.

It's unclear what this implies for FOX's 1st Components First relocating ahead.
