People just received text messages originally sent on Valentine's Day

Mobile phone users across the country received text messages overnight that were originally sent on Valentine's Day.

The update caused some customers to have older text messages resent to their devices.

'The issue was resolved not long after it occurred.

So many people had mentioned the unusual texts on social media by mid-day on Thursday that it became apparent that some systemic glitch had sent the texts to users across the U.S.

On Reddit, a user said she received random texts from her boyfriend who was sitting next to her all night. Little did the sender know the target of their heartfelt message never received it rather than ignoring it.


People were definitely confused by all the delayed texts.

"During an internal maintenance cycle last night, 168,149 previously undelivered text messages were inadvertently sent to multiple mobile operators' subscribers", Syniverse said of the text messaging event. An extra individual mentioned his spouse obtained a textual content from him inquiring a few event - simply as they have been being receiving ready for mattress.
