Plane crashes in Texas in another gender-reveal gone wrong

A gender reveal is believed to have caused a recent airplane crash in Texas, according to a National Transportation Safety Board report.

An Air Tractor AT 602 (like this one) crashed on September 7 in Turkey, a small city just 90 miles west of the Oklahoma border, after slowing down too much in order to dump out "350 gallows of pink water" as a part of a gender reveal, the National Transportation Safety Board said.

But when the pilot released the 350 gallons of pink water for the gender reveal, the stunt caused the plane to slow down and get "aerodynamically stalled", according to the report. One sustained minor injuries and the other was unharmed, according to the report, which was released on Tuesday.

In October, 56-year-old Iowa woman Pamela Kreimeyer died during a party staged to reveal the gender of her next grandchild, when a homemade "pipe bomb" exploded and she was struck in the head by metal shrapnel. Two people were sitting in a single seat air plane.

The pilot said there had been no "preaccident mechanical failures or malfunctions with the airplane that would have precluded normal operation". In that instance, authorities warned the public of the dangers of using explosives.
