The "Ladies Like Us" podcast hosts Nazanin Mandi and Nadia Moham issued a statement Thursday admitting they should not have laughed following the rapper's comments about the long-debunked practice denounced by medical professionals during the November 5 podcast.

Nigerian actress Halima Abubakar has weighed in on the controversial revelation by rapper Clifford Harris, known professionally as T.I, that he takes his daughter annually for virginity tests. News, one fan's response reads, 'I am so sorry that you are going through this, it's not right'.

T.I., the rapper-turned-judge on Netflix's Rhythm + Circulation, turned embroiled in controversy this week when he confessed he accompanied his daughter to her annual gynecology appointments to confirm that she's nonetheless a virgin.

"I will say, as of her 18th birthday, her hymen is still intact", he said. Specified the mistrust T.I. has demonstrated to his daughter by crashing her physician's appointment, the percentages aren't superb that Deyjah will wish to open up as much as him about it.

"So then they come and say, 'Well, I just want you to know that there are other ways besides sex that the hymen can be broken, like bike riding, athletics, horseback riding, and just other forms of athletic physical activity'". And yes, not only have we had the conversation [about sex], we have yearly trips to the gynaecologist to check her hymen. Does he need to know the boys are? Is it the STDs?' Is it that she doesn't set what like is? Why doesn't he trust her? She continued by saying, "He has serious control issues with women in all aspects of his life & needs therapy".

T.I.'s latest interview with the Ladies Like Us podcast has gone viral for his comments about his daughter. "Deyjah's 18, real graduated high school now and he or she's attending her first yr of faculty, figuring it out for herself". As the outrage has grown on social media, Deyjah has reputedly sided with critics of her father's remarks, "liking" a decision of tweets on Twitter.

T.I.'s former artist Iggy Azalea chimed in with some comments on the matter.
