Post Malone is Spotify's most streamed artist of 2019

No stranger to setting music world records, rapper-singer Drake has been named the most-streamed artist of the past decade, according to streaming giant Spotify.

Spotify's most-streamed podcasts are The Joe Budden Podcast, My Favorite Murder, Gemischtes Hack, Fest & Flauschig, and The Misfits Podcast.

Toronto hip-hop star Drake earned the artist of the decade honour with more than 28 billion streams of his music.

Ariana Grande came in fourth for the decade.

In terms of individual tunes, British singer/songwriter Ed Sheeran came out on top in the most-streamed song rankings with Shape of You, which has amassed over 2.3 billion streams since its release in 2017.

Other popular tracks this decade were Post Malone's "Rockstar", featuring 21 Savage, followed by "Closer" by The Chainsmokers, featuring Halsey, and Sheeran's "Thinking Out Loud".

He was followed by British pop singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran, genre-blending US rapper-singer Post Malone and American pop performer Ariana Grande. Eilish's debut album - "When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?" - is the year's most-streamed album, while Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello's "Senorita" tops the list of the most-streamed songs.

Post Malone was 2019's most-streamed artist.

Spotify released its streaming numbers for the decade Tuesday in its inaugural edition of "Wrapped", a new year-end look at the music service's most-streamed artists and albums.
