LeBron James' Ridiculous On-Court 'Malfunction' Fires Up NBA Twitter

LeBron James' Ridiculous On-Court 'Malfunction' Fires Up NBA Twitter

The fans knew it.

James said after the game he got distracted by a collision between his teammate Kentavios Caldwell-Pope and Jazz star Donovan Mitchell, according to ESPN. "I think I was ready to pass the ball, and my brain just kind of just, I had a malfunction". "I didn't realize I did it until halftime".

The real disrespect was James giving away his shoes with time left in the game because he knew the Lakers had already clinched the win.

"I feel bad for the refs on that one because they'll probably get a write-up on that or something", James said.

"That was pretty bad", admitted James, who expressed compassion for the officials who swallowed their whistles. An incredulous Jazz defender Bojan Bogdanovic raised his arms in a show of exasperation that no call was made.

Earlier in the matchup, James was dribbling the ball up the court and appeared to pick up his dribble, walk two steps and dribble again. The Jazz have been one of the best defenses in the league thanks in large part to reigning DPOY Rudy Gobert, so it looks like Anthony Davis is going to have his work cut out for him.

Missed call or no missed call, it likely wouldn't have mattered as the Lakers went on to blow out the Jazz 121-96 for their second win in a row and their ninth in their past 10 games.
