Receiver Alshon Jeffery might be out for season

The injury left Carson Wentz with just two active receivers for the rest of the game: JJ Arcega-Whiteside and Greg Ward.

Johnson suffered a high-ankle sprain and has been listed as week-to-week by Pederson, a designation that typically means a multi-week injury in the coach's lexicon.

"Lane Johnson is week to week", Pederson said.

Pederson said that wide receiver Nelson Agholor's status is "up in the air" for this Sunday. Marken Michel, Marcus Green and Robert Davis are on the practice squad, and Jordan Matthews is always on Howie Roseman's speed dial. There is also a possibility that the Eagles will signal a wide receiver.

This late in the season it's hard to bring in somebody from outside who hasn't been in this offense either in training camp or during the season.

Agholor was ruled out soon before the match, and Pederson had been non-commital on if he'd have the ability to play against Washington. "Obviously, we could look outside the building if we need to. We are going to work today, and attempt to find something set up here pretty fast because we are back to the field (Wednesday)".

Depending on what the next couple of days consist of, here's to hoping the Eagles bring on some extra help as a result of Jeffery's injury, because the receiving corps clearly needs all of the extra help possible at this point. The one-time Bears Pro Bowler had only 43 catches for 490 yards and four TDs in 10 games this year.

Johnson played 28 snaps before leaving the field in the second quarter, and eventually carted to the locker room.

As for Johnson, Pederson appeared to signify that Halapoulivaati Vaitai would start at right tackle.

Johnson will be week to week, as he looks to return to the lineup. Jackson played one complete game before suffering a heart muscle injury. "Other than that he's good".
