Taco Bell is so desperate for workers it's offering $100,000 salaries

Taco Bell says managers at some restaurants will start pulling in six-figure salaries, up from the $50,000 to $80,000 that managers now make.

If you've ever worked in fast food you know this is A TON.

The news comes in an effort to try and hold onto workers. According to a spokesperson, Taco Bell previously offered paid sick time only to managers and is now extending that offer to all employees at company-owned restaurants who have had their jobs for at least 90 days.

By 2025, in Taco Bell restaurants across the globe, the brand aims to make all consumer-facing packaging recyclable, compostable or reusable.

On Thursday, the fast-food chain announced it will test a $100,000 salary for restaurants' general managers at certain company-owned locations starting later this year.

"We are still in the planning process and have not confirmed exact locations or number of RGMs (Restaurant General Managers)" who will be involved in the test, Ferril Onyett, senior director of global training and worldwide human resources for Taco Bell, told NRN.

Taco Bell will also offer all employees 24 hours of paid sick time per year and will begin a brand promotional campaign that will allow employees to express their passion for the brand.

The following advertisement is from Service Canada's "job bank": McDonald's manager for one of its Burnaby B.C. locations; $48,007/year.

The incident occurred at around 12:15am on December 25 at a chain of the fast-food restaurant in the 4800 block of Sugarloaf Parkway, in Lawrenceville. After last year's dedicated vegetarian menu with American Vegetarian Association certified items* launched nationally with new favorites like the Black Bean Crunchwrap, Taco Bell vows to continue providing the most vegetarian choices as well as find ways to make it even easier to order them, whether that's on the app, in the restaurant or through the drive thru.
