Bruno Fernandes ‘really wants’ United move

While United have looked at other options for a new creative attacking midfielder, Portugal global Fernandes is now the only player they are discussing a potential transfer for.

According to Portuguese newspaper Jornal de Noticias, the Red Devils have reached an agreement over personal terms for Sporting Lisbon captain Bruno Fernandes.

Telegraph has reported that Fernandes is highly interested in joining Manchester United this month, but still, it is hard to bargain with Sporting CP for the Portuguese midfielder.

So far during the 2019-20 season, James Maddison has featured in 21 games for the Foxes managing to net 6 goals and provide three assists and everyone believes that he will be a fine addition to the Man United squad.

After all, Manchester United must move on to considering deals for other players if there is anyone else of interest to them.

Liverpool's bitter rivals are still the only team to take points off the Reds in the Premier League this season, following a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford back in October.

Man United might be doing poorly for several seasons now and it's true that not many big stars are currently eager to join them but Leicester's great run isn't written in stone either.

Speculation has been mounting that Fernandes could be on his way to United this winter after widespread reports emerged last week suggesting Sporting Lisbon chiefs were in London to hold formal transfer talks with the Manchester giants.

At the weekend Jorge Silas, Sporting's manager, was asked if Fernandes will be available for Friday's derby with Benfica.
