‘Westworld’ Gets Season 3 Premiere Date On HBO

The third season of the twist-filled HBO show has finally announced its premiere date for March, bringing with it a new teaser that throws off some serious Arrival vibes. They join Evan Rachel Wood, Thandie Newton, Ed Harris, Jeffrey Wright, Tessa Thompson, Luke Hemsworth, Talulah Riley as well as Rodrigo Santoro and Sir Anthony Hopkins in the series.

Newcomers for the third installment include Aaron Paul ("Breaking Bad", "Bojack Horseman"), Vincent Cassel ("Black Swan"), Lena Waithe (HBO's "A Black Lady Sketch Show", "Master of None"), Scott Mescudi (HBO's upcoming "We Are Who We Are"), Marshawn Lynch ("Brooklyn Nine-Nine"), John Gallagher Jr.

Created for television by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, and based on the film written by Michael Crichton, Westworld is a dark odyssey about the dawn of artificial consciousness and the birth of a new form of life on Earth. However, it is still unclear if the new episodes will have a longer run time in order to make up for the season's shorter episode count.

That kind of ominous tone sounds par for the course for a show about androids who awaken to the understanding of who they are and where they came from, and, taken with the new clip and its references to real events, sets the stage for some intriguing possibilities as the expanded Westworld cast gets set to show us where the future's headed. "Dystopia can look pretty attractive in the world". It's only two months away and fans are losing it, likely bingeing the first two seasons as we speak.

Nolan and Joy executive produce the series with J.J. Abrams, Athena Wickham, Richard J. Lewis, Ben Stephenson and Denise Thé. Production companies: Kilter Films and Bad Robot Productions in association with Warner Bros.
