The Batman: First Look at Robert Pattinson in Batsuit

Rather than have the suit leak via some terrible pap pictures on set, all badly handled lighting and weird details showing up, The Batman's director Matt Reeves has chosen instead to go the arty, camera test route to show off what Robert Pattinson looks like in the gear.

Director Matt Reeves shared a camera test of the actor in the new Batman suit via Vimeo.

"The Batman" director Matt Reeves revealed the first footage on Twitter, set to a moody score that is honestly reminiscent of the Darth Vader theme.

It also features a "Batman" theme from composer Michael Giacchino ("Doctor Strange", "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story").

Pattinson had actively pursued the role in The Batman, telling Variety last September: 'I'd had Batman in my mind for a while.

Filming on The Batman began in London in January. He didn't accept any prods.

The rest of the cast includes Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth; Colin Farrell as Oswald Cobblepot, aka The Penguin; Paul Dano as Edward Nashton, aka The Riddler; and Jeffrey Wright as James Gordon.

"And it's pretty astonishing, something that is incredibly hard to get into, so the ritual of getting into it is pretty humiliating".

Production on "The Batman" is now underway, with Warner Bros. releasing the DC Comics-based tentpole on June 25, 2021.

Before you get your hopes up for a film centered around McGinnis, Warner Bros. confirmed Pattinson, will play a version of Wayne.

Kravitz recently told Variety she received more texts and calls after landing the role of Catwoman than she did on her birthday or wedding day.
