Williamson scores 32 but Pelicans fall to Thunder

Adams sunk a shot from over half-court at the halftime buzzer of his Oklahoma City Thunder side's game against the New Orleans Pelicans - but what made it all the more ridiculous was the phenomenally casual nature of the attempt.

The Thunder led by eight points at halftime, but Williamson scored eight points as the Pelicans took a 76-75 lead.

The Oklahoma City Thunder and New Orleans Pelicans meet Thursday in National Basketball Association action at the Smoothie King Center. Oklahoma City trailed by 11 after the opening quarter but cut the deficit to two after three quarters. Oklahoma City is 23in rebounding with 43.1 boards a night while ranking 27 in assists by dishing out 21.9 dimes per game. The Oklahoma City Thunder have won seven straight home games. The Oklahoma City Thunder are shooting 35.2 percent from beyond the arc and 80.4 percent from the free throw line.

New Orleans is coming off a 138-117 win at home over Portland on Tuesday for a third straight victory. New Orleans is 23-31 on the season, 11-16 at home, 28-24-2 against the spread and 31-23 with the over. The New Orleans Pelicans are allowing 35.5 percent shooting from deep and are grabbing 46.6 rebounds per game. The New Orleans Pelicans are averaging 115.7 points on 46 percent shooting and allowing 117.2 points on 46.5 percent shooting.

The New Orleans Pelicans look for a win after winning six of their last eight games. Brandon Ingram has been leading the Pelicans with 24.9 points, 6.4 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game. The over is 4-0 in Pelicans last 4 games as a favorite.

Gallinari's basket put Oklahoma City ahead before Ball's 3-pointer gave New Orleans a 111-110 lead. Just don't tell that to Oklahoma City Thunder forward Abdel Nader, who was on the receiving end of one of the most disrespectful plays of the season. I think the Pelicans continue their offensive momentum tonight and go into the break with another win and cover.
