Neymar, Gonzalez In War Of Words After Racism Allegation

A tussle between Argentine pair Dario Benedetto and Leandro Paredes quickly escalated into an all-out brawl between PSG and Marseille players, with Neymar in the thick of things. Paredes pushed Benedetto and also seemed to headbutt Alvaro.

Andre Villas-Boas' side were leading 1-0 when a brawl ensued in the middle of the pitch.

"My only regret is not hitting that (expletive) in the face", proffered Neymar on social media.

After fielding a depleted line-up at Lens on Thursday, Tuchel was able to recall Neymar and Angel Di Maria for a match played in front of around 4,000 supporters in Paris.

In a later tweet, Neymar said "It is easy for the VAR to see my "aggression" and added he was subjected to offensive insults of a racist nature. Claiming that there is no place for racism, Gonzalez has broken his silence on Neymar's allegation and said that "sometimes one needs to learn to lose". "Now insulting and bringing racism into our lives no, I don't agree", the 28-year-old began.

Pitchside microphones caught Neymar making the accusation to the fourth official, and the PSG forward then repeated his assertion to a nearby camera after VAR confirmed his red card.

Winger Thauvin scored in the 31st minute of a tense game featuring more than a dozen yellow cards and which descended into chaos deep into stoppage time as punches and kicks were exchanged.

Villas-Boas went on to stress PSG and Tuchel are under vast pressure after they fell at the final hurdle in pursuit of the Champions League last season - losing to Bayern Munich 1-0. "We will have to look at everything to take a coherent stance but the situation is serious". We also have Di Maria who spat on one of our players. The visitors won the game 1-0, handing PSG to their second consecutive defeat in the league.

PSG sporting director Leonardo suggested referee Jerome Brisard lacked the experience to officiate such a highly-charged fixture.
