OnePlus 8T renders leak, showing new placement for the rear cameras - comments

It's about time we got some renders for an unreleased phone - this go around, it's the OnePlus 8T.

The main standout is clearly the newly arranged camera island on the back, with a rectangular design that's unlike anything OnePlus has done before - but, coincidentally or not, resembles a lot of recent (and upcoming) Realme and Oppo phones - not to mention Samsungs left and right.

Well, today, we got the CAD-based renders of the 8T that were shared by OnLeaks in collaboration with PriceBaba. The USB Type-C Port is there on the bottom alongside the speaker grill & to no surprise, there is no 3.5mm headphone jack.

As you move to the front, changes to the design continue.

The renders released overnight demonstrate a new camera module on the 8T - something more akin to the Samsung module. The company typically launches a "T" model of its annual flagship device with some incremental upgrades. The device will be sold in two variants - an 8GB RAM model that offers 128 gigs of onboard storage, a 12GB variant that comes equipped with a 256GB storage. This phone is reported to feature four cameras: 48MP primary, 16MP ultra-wide lens, 5MP macro, and a 2MP portrait sensor.

Going in detail, theOnePlus 8T will reportedly feature a 6.55-inch FHD+ display, but unlike the curved panel on the OnePlus 8, this one has a flat display. On the front, OnePlus is using a 32MP camera, which is twice that of the 16MP sensor on the OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro. Unsurprisingly, it will run Android 11 with OxygenOS 11 on top.

The 5G smartphone is fueled by a 4,115 mAh battery with 30T Warp Charge technology.

There is no information regarding the price of OnePlus 8T, but since it will be more expensive than the OnePlus 8, we are expecting the starting price to be around Rs 44,999 since the OnePlus 8 starts at Rs 41,999 in India.
