Assassin's Creed and Splinter Cell VR games announced

"These games will take full advantage of Oculus's technology to deliver immersive, visceral experiences that players won't be able to find anywhere else." said Elizabeth Loverso, Vice President of Product Development, Ubisoft's Red Storm Entertainment.

The next Splinter Cell game was unveiled as part of Facebook Connect, which highlighted the new Oculus Quest 2 along with a raft of software planned for the new headset. The good news is that we will see more of the superspy.

Neither Facebook nor Ubisoft shared any information regarding what to expect from the Assassin's Creed and Splinter Cell VR outings, so we'll have to wait to hear more information on things such as a release date and gameplay details.

Ubisoft has plenty of huge games coming out in the next few months. Both games will be created from the ground up specifically for the Oculus platform, and each will include elements from the franchises that fans know and love.

Both games are set to be revealed later today at the Facebook event, according to a report from Vandal. Ubisoft announced that a new Splinter Cell game was in development in 2019, but the company later denied that claim. Be sure to tune into that stream if you're as hungry for confirmation as we are. The Assassin's Creed series has been well served in recent years, but Sam fisher has often been relegated to spin-off titles and cameos in some of Ubisoft's other successful games, most recently Rainbow Six Siege.
