In some not-so-surprising news, developer Gearbox Software has revealed that Borderlands 3 is getting even more content. 2K Games and Gearbox Software have a series of Twitch livestreams scheduled from October 20-30; today's announcement has the full schedule and more detail. Season pass 2 for Borderlands 3 kicks off on November 10, when the "Designer's Cut" content arrives.

Additionally, 2K and Gearbox have also confirmed that a next-gen update for Borderlands 3 is on the way and will be released for the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S as a free upgrade. "This new season will include the Designer's Cut and Director's Cut DLCs, which each offer new modes and ways to play". The first of these additions is called The Designer's Cut and will include an extra skill tree for every character, a new game mode called Arms Race, and a handful of other fun stuff that we'll learn about more on 20 October which is when Gearbox plans on hosting its usual Twitch stream deep dive.

Borderlands 3 Season Pass 2 Lands in November With New 'Designer's Cut' DLC

20th October (9:00 AM PST): Livestream revealing skill trees for Amara & Flak, as well as an episode of Ultimate Vault Hunters. Plus, players get brand new looks for all four Vault Hunters.

As for Director's Cut, that will launch next year in early Spring. Borderlands' unique style of messed up humor, specifically, is starting to grind with fans. Announced today by Gearbox, Season 2 is set to launch two new game modes when it releases next month, November 10.
