Kristen Bell Stands By Dax Shepard

Kristen Bell Stands By Dax Shepard

Kristen Bell is talking about Dax Shepard's recent relapse after 16 years of sobriety.

She explained:"He is in fact doing very great..."

"What I love most about Dax is that he could tell me and say and say, 'We need another plan.' We have a plan: if for any reason he has to take medication, I have to give him".

According to Kristen though, Dax believes he "needs a stronger plan". He said it was his motorcycle accident in August that led to his full relapse. Now, Bell said, Shepard has a new plan to help with another similar incident in taking painkillers, which was recommended to him after a series of injuries in extreme sports. "Sometimes it's substance abuse", Bell said of those "demons". "And one of the main reasons I love him is he's also addicted to growth". She further said that all persons have their demons maybe in the form of depression or anxiety, and sometimes it is substance abuse. He's addicted to evolving.

"Armchair Expert podcast co-host Monica Padman when he revealed he relapsed on September 25." data-reactid="25" Bell explained that they have a plan for administering medication to Shepard for his chronic pain from various motorcycle injuries, which he spoke about at length with his Armchair Expert podcast co-host Monica Padman when he revealed he relapsed on September 25. "And he was like, 'I don't want to risk this family and I did".

Kristen Bell vows to stand by Dax Shepard after addiction relapse because 'he's very, very worth it'

Things are looking up for Shepard though.

Despite her husband's slip, Bell is proud that he was honest about it. "I will continue to stand by him because he's very, very worth it".

"I'm allowed to be on them at some dosage because I have a prescription, and then I'm also augmenting that", he said on his podcast on September 25.

"I know that's an amount that's going to result in a pretty bad withdrawal". "Then all the prescriptions ran out, and I'm now just taking 30mL oxys that I've bought". At the time the episode was recorded, Shepard was 7 days sober.

The couple, who have been married since 2013 and share two daughters, have also been going to therapy to keep their family together.
