Tottenham collapses on Bale's return to draw 3-3 vs West Ham

Jose Mourinho has claimed Gareth Bale's cameo role for Tottenham against West Ham should serve as a warning to his squad that no player is guaranteed his place in the starting lineup. "My guys were not strong enough to cope with it psychologically in the last few seconds".

The roles were reversed for Kane's first goal as the England captain produced a stunning piece of skill with a nutmeg on his marker, before firing low into the bottom corner.

Son Heung-min gave Spurs the lead after cutting inside from the left, before Harry Kane made it two with an excellent effort that flew past Lukasz Fabianski.

"Of course, I have to analyse the second half and I have to do it internally, but for you I prefer to just say that football happens and I prefer to praise West Ham's belief".

It was with nearly the last kick of the game that Manuel Lanzini blasted a shot from distance into the roof of the net to snatch a point that seemed extremely unlikely when Son Heung-min scored in the first minute and Harry Kane netted twice by the 16th minute.

It was the second straight league game at home where Tottenham had thrown away a winning position after being held 1-1 by Newcastle three weeks ago after conceding a penalty.

For West Ham, it continues what has been a decent start to the campaign, taking seven points from their first five games.

Kane hit the post, Bale had a glorious chance after coming on - but Spurs still looked comfortable.

And that would come back to haunt Mourinho's men when a Cresswell free-kick was only cleared to the edge of the box, and Lanzini arrowed an unstoppable shot high past Hugo Lloris.

"This was meant to be Bale's game, it was Kane's game, it was Son's game, it was Tottenham's game". No changes for the side, David Moyes returns to the sidelines for the Hammers!
