Neymar to start for PSG against Leipzig, says Tuchel

PSG, who wasted a two-goal halftime lead against Monaco, are top of the Ligue 1 standings with 24 points from 11 games, four ahead of the principality club.

But German worldwide Kevin Volland struck twice for Monaco after the break and Fabregas converted from 12 yards in the 84th minute after Abdou Diallo had been sent off for conceding the all-important penalty.

Tuchel described PSG's second-half display as "catastrophic" but accepts the criticism on himself. However, a collapse in the second period of the game, saw the Parisians suffer a shock defeat as a Kevin Volland brace and Cesc Fabregas penalty, gave Monaco a foothold on the second spot in the table. In the 1st half, we were scared.

"This is why we are completely responsible".

"We have not done what is necessary to win a match: defending in a block, remaining aggressive, remaining attentive in behind". We controlled the game, we scored two goals, and we could have scored two more.

"We have to accept the criticism because we have completely stopped playing football". The Brazilian will start against RB Leipzig in a much-important Champions League clash.

Neymar and Mbappe see their current deals expire in the summer of 2022, and PSG want to keep both of them.

"The match against Leipzig is going to be very hard, but it would not have been much different if we'd won", Tuchel said of Tuesday's continental clash.

"Neymar? He is determined". The mix between the two matches, Monaco and Leipzig, is perhaps also a reason which explains why we lost our concentration.' Tuchel added.
