All Five Seasons of The Muppet Show Heading to Disney Plus

Disney+ said in a press release Tuesday that all five seasons of the variety series will start streaming February 19.

At the time, Time Magazine called it "the only adult show on television" and "give or take Saturday Night Live, the funniest show on television". It also featured many high-profile guest-stars such as Steve Martin, Elton John, Julie Andrews, Liza Minelli, Diana Ross, and Mark Hamill.

This will be the first time that seasons 4 and 5 will be available to stream on Disney+.

It aired in syndication from 1976 to 1981, winning four Primetime Emmys during its run.

Since it's creation, the Muppets franchise has grown to 8 feature films, 6 direct-to-video releases, 11 television series, 2 television movies, and has branched off into web series and video games with guest appearances on other properties.


Viewers can expect to see Kermit and Miss Piggy, along with Fozzie Bear, Gonzo, the Swedish Chef, Sam the Eagle, Statler and Waldorf, Animal, Gonzo and more.

With more and more Muppet content coming to Disney+, it has now become a destination for Muppet fans.

Fans of iconic Muppets, Kermit the Frog and Miss Piggy, are in for a treat.
