Patrick Mahomes' mom was not pleased with hit that injured QB

Wilson made a tackle on Mahomes on Sunday during the AFC Divisional Round of the playoffs.

Reid responded with less direct optimism when asked about Mahomes' chances of being able to practice prior to Sunday's AFC Championship Game against the Bills, saying "that's for [the medical staff] to decide", per Herbie Teope of The Kansas City Star.

The injury means that backup quarterback Chad Henne had to come into the game for Kansas City. "So we've got a lot of work to do as a team, and also in this case on our defense, to get ready". Buffalo struggled against the run, surrendering 250 yards to the Chiefs on the ground. Head coach Andy Reid told reporters Mahomes was hit in the back of the head and had the wind knocked out of him, but he would not confirm if Mahomes was formally diagnosed with a concussion.
