John Krasinski and Pete Davidson re-create Jim and Pam The Office kiss

John Krasinski and Pete Davidson re-create Jim and Pam The Office kiss

John Krasinski made his hosting debut on NBC Saturday Night Live and during his opening monologue, several cast members cut him off to encourage him to act more like his old breakout role from The Office and go so far as to "kiss Pam".

The audience members, however, interrupted him as they flooded him with questions about "The Office" with cast member Alex Moffat asking him where Pam (Jenna Fischer) was.

"Hey, I've got a question", Kenan Thompson said, standing up.

John kept trying to tell them that Pam is a fictional character and doesn't exist in the real world, which is why she's not there with him on the SNL stage.

As the Pam-centric comments continued, "SNL" star Pete Davidson joined Krasinski on stage.

How would Jim Halpert react to that SNL doing sesh? Accepting the award for Best Sci-Fi/Horror Movie, Krasinski had said, "I got to make a movie about a love story and a love letter to my kids. Jim, you gotta kiss Pam". You're on Paw Patrol?' And I was like, 'No, no, no, no.' And they were like, 'Call us when you're on Paw Patrol,' " he joked. I told them, 'You know how your favorite show is Paw Patrol? "Jim, I think you have to kiss Pam".

So perhaps it's no surprise that when John Krasinski rocked up to host SNL for the first time that there was inevitably going to be an Office gag or three, one of which happened to involve Pete Davidson in a heavy, non-COVID safe way.

With that, Krasinski gave his best "Jim face" for the camera, and kissed Davidson for the cheering crowd.
