Moto G Pro is Motorola’s first device to get Android 11 update

Moto G Pro is Motorola’s first device to get Android 11 update

Selected users who are part of the MFN are getting the update as version RPM31.Q1-46 which also carries the January security patch.

You'd think that Motorola, with its comparatively light Android skin, would be quicker at delivering software updates, right?

Motorola recently started rolling out the Android 10 update for its Motorola One Macro.

The development was spotted when users on Reddit reported receiving the Android 11 update on the Moto G Pro.

The update seems to be rolling out in batches. Now, a report on the XDA forum suggests that the Moto G Power will get it soon.

According to a report from Piunikaweb, the Moto G Pro appears to be the first Motorola device that will receive the upgrade, with users in the United Kingdom reporting that they have received the update. It is bringing features like conversation bubbles, screen recording, improved media controls, and one-time-permission improvements among other privacy upgrades.

Motorola had released the list of smartphones eligible for the Android 11 update in December 2020, but the company did not specify a timeline for the update. If you have not obtained a notification but, you'll be able to strive checking for the replace manually by going to the system updates menu in Settings.

The Motorola Moto G Pro is not yet available in Brazilian stores. In theory, it ensures at least two major Android updates and regular security patches. Android 11 definitely brings out the G power's potential. Plus, the fact that despite being essentially the same device, the US Moto G Stylus hasn't gotten an update yet. Based on this, the device will also get Android 12 as its last major upgrade.
